Peter first came to the Baja for a vacation in 2005 and, like so many others, soon fell in love with the natural beauty of the region and the simplicity of its people. He and his partner, Karen, purchased property in 2007 and built their Pescadero home in 2009.
Peter’s a self-confessed ‘Type A’ personality and with their home finished he began to look further afield for activities to keep him occupied. With the ‘maturing’ of the Los Cabos area, a new highway to Pescadero/Todos Santos an improving economy in the US and the aging of the baby boom generation in ‘anglo’ North America the notion that there would be growing demand for a simple, well planned and affordable recreational development in Pescadero began to emerge. Therein lay the beginning of the genesis of Pueblo Pescadero.
For more than 35 years Peter has been involved in all aspects of the development of real estate projects. He has advised clients on developments of all sizes and uses in Canada, the United States, Asia and the Middle East. He has held numerous executive positions in companies in North America and was the Managing Director of a development Company in Dubai (1991-1996) where he oversaw the development of the largest mixed- use project (100,000 square meters of retail, office and hotel) developed in the region to that point in time.
‘It has always been my belief that while developments need to respond to a market demand, they can do so in a manner that is conscientious of the broader needs of the community – I’d like to think we’ve managed, in some small way, to achieve this at Pueblo Pescadero.
Peter was raised in Vancouver, Canada and is a graduate of the University of British Columbia holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialty in Urban Land Economics.
